Helen Willis joined the Playball Derby coaching team in March 2014.

Helen is a confident and outgoing sports coach. She has lots of coaching experience and has worked with hundreds of children and young adults across Derbyshire, creating fun sessions and encouraging people of all ages to participate in Sport.

As Playball coaches, they all put a great amount of effort into building each child's self-esteem and confidence. Verbal and non-verbal praise is used throughout the lesson to show how pleased the teacher is with individual progress. Lots of high fives, smiles and positive comments make the kids want to shine!

Classes are small enough to allow the building of relationships with each pupil, as well as addressing physical, social and emotional needs - putting your child first! Through creative and enthusiastic lessons, all the coaches pass on their infectious love of sport and activity to the children.

Playball© programs have been presented by our coaches effectively, successfully and to the benefit of thousands of children for more than 25 years.  Playball© coaches are trained in what is known as the “Playball© Method of Coaching” by educational and sport experts.
Coaching one of the Playball© programs is taken very seriously.  Our coaches training instructs, prepares, enlightens, informs, inspires, fosters and  makes the coach aware of their responsibility .
